LoanAdvice is not a lender
LoanAdvice is a website operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd. We do not make loans, we do not make credit decisions, and we do not charge you a fee for using this site. The request form on this site is provided by our matching partner. When you complete it, Four Nine Nine Ltd transmits your request through that form directly to its matching partner and through it to one or more lending partners and their service providers so they can decide whether to present you with an offer; Four Nine Nine Ltd does not keep the request itself. Four Nine Nine Ltd may be compensated by a lending partner or the matching partner when you are connected. That compensation does not change the rate or terms you are offered.
Request amounts
The form accepts requests from $1,000 to $5,000 and above. When you apply for a loan, the amount you're approved for might be different from what you initially requested: what a lending partner offers may be less than you asked for, and the largest amounts are generally available only to applicants with stronger credit profiles.
No guarantee of an offer
Completing a request does not guarantee that you will be matched with a lending partner, that you will be approved, or that you will receive any particular amount, rate or term. A lending partner may decline your request for any reason permitted by law. You are under no obligation to accept any offer.
Availability by state
Loan availability, maximum amounts, terms and rates differ by state, and some products are not offered in every state. Residents of some states may not be eligible for short-term loans under a lending partner's requirements, which vary from lender to lender. Where a lending partner cannot serve your state, no offer will be presented.
Rates and fees
The annual percentage rate (APR) on any offer depends on the lender, your credit profile, the amount borrowed, the repayment term and your state. APRs on short-term loans are often higher than those on longer-term products and can exceed 400% APR. Short-term loans are expensive. Borrow only what you need and compare the APR before you accept. Every lending partner discloses its own APR, fees and repayment schedule before you sign anything, as required by the federal Truth in Lending Act. LoanAdvice charges you nothing. Representative example, for illustration only and not an offer: a $2,000 personal loan repaid over 24 months at 24.99% APR has 24 monthly payments of about $106.72 and a total repayment of about $2,561. The full picture, including typical ranges, terms and fees, is on the Rates & Fees page.
Members of the U.S. armed forces and their dependents: the Military Lending Act limits the cost of certain consumer credit; lending partners check eligibility and apply those limits.
Credit authorization
By submitting a request you authorize the lending partners and the matching partner that receive it, and their service providers, to obtain consumer reports and other information about you from consumer reporting agencies and other sources in order to evaluate it, as permitted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Some lending partners use a soft inquiry that does not affect your credit score; others perform a hard inquiry, which can, and a hard inquiry may happen when a lender evaluates your request, before you see an offer. LoanAdvice itself does not obtain your credit report. The full text is the Consumer Credit Authorization and Notice.
Repayment and late payment
Late or missed payments may result in additional fees and charges, collection activity by the lender, and negative reporting to consumer reporting agencies, which can harm your credit. Lending partners set their own collection practices, which must comply with applicable law. If you expect to miss a payment, contact your lender before the due date.
Renewal
Some short-term loans may be renewed or rolled over, and renewal can add fees and interest. Renewal policies, and whether renewal is permitted at all, depend on the lender and on your state. Read the lender's agreement before you accept an offer.
Questions about an offer or a loan
Any offer, its rate, its fees and its repayment terms come from the lender, not from LoanAdvice. For questions about an offer, a payment or an existing loan, contact the lender directly using the details on its documents.
