Rates & Fees

We are not a lender

LoanAdvice is a website operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd. We do not make loans, we do not make credit decisions, and we do not set interest rates or fees. Once your request is submitted and matched, the lending partner presents its own offer with the interest rate, the annual percentage rate (APR), the repayment schedule and any fees, before you commit to anything, as the federal Truth in Lending Act requires. You are never obligated to accept an offer whose terms do not suit you.

What using this site costs you

Nothing. LoanAdvice does not charge you a fee at any point. Four Nine Nine Ltd may be compensated by a lending partner or the matching partner when you are connected; that compensation does not change the rate or terms you are offered.

The amount you are approved for

The form accepts requests from $1,000 to $5,000 and above. When you apply for a loan, the amount you're approved for might be different from what you initially requested. A lending partner decides the amount, if any, from your income, your credit profile, your state and its own lending limits, and the largest amounts are generally available only to applicants with stronger credit profiles.

APR ranges

The APR on an offer depends on the lender, your credit profile, the amount, the term and your state. Actual offers vary, and lending partners set their own rates. The ranges below are as reported to us by lending partners in 2026; your offer may differ. They are for orientation only and not an offer:

The APR includes the interest rate and most fees expressed as a yearly rate, which is what makes offers comparable. Compare the APR, the total repayment and the schedule, not only the monthly payment.

Short-term loans are expensive. Borrow only what you need and compare the APR before you accept.

Representative example

For illustration only, not an offer: a $2,000 personal loan repaid over 24 months at 24.99% APR has 24 monthly payments of about $106.72 and a total repayment of about $2,561, of which about $561 is interest. Your actual figures are set out in the lender's agreement.

Repayment terms

Repayment terms generally range from 61 days to 72 months, depending on the lender and your qualifications. Personal loans are typically repaid in equal monthly or biweekly installments of principal and interest. A lender may offer automatic withdrawals from your bank account on the agreed dates; you are not required to set up automatic payments as a condition of receiving a loan. Many lenders let you repay early to reduce the total interest; check whether the lender charges a prepayment fee before you do.

Fees

Any origination fee, late fee, returned-payment fee, prepayment fee or other charge is set by the lender and disclosed in the lender's agreement before you sign. Typical fees, as reported to us by lending partners in 2026 (your offer may differ): origination fees from 0% to about 8% of the amount, late fees from $15 to $30 or a percentage of the missed payment, and returned-payment fees from $15 to $30. Your lender's figures may differ.

Late and missed payments

Late or missed payments may add fees and interest, may be reported to consumer reporting agencies and harm your credit, and may lead to collection activity by the lender, which must comply with applicable law. If you expect to miss a payment, contact your lender before the due date; many lenders can adjust a date or a schedule.

Renewal and rollover

Some short-term loans may be renewed or rolled over, and renewal adds fees and interest. Whether renewal is permitted at all, and on what terms, depends on the lender and on your state. Read the lender's agreement before you accept an offer.

Differences by state

Loan availability, maximum amounts, terms, rates and fees differ by state, and some products are not offered in every state. Where a lending partner cannot serve your state, no offer is presented.

Questions about an offer

Any offer, its rate, its fees and its repayment terms come from the lender, not from LoanAdvice. For questions about an offer, a payment or an existing loan, contact the lender directly using the details on its documents.
